Evangelical Free Church is also a wedding spot. They have a small courtyard for formal photography as well (see below).
Church Building History:
The church building was constructed in 1891. At that time it was Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Pleasant Valley Baptist Church used to own Camarillo Cemetery also (now Dizdar Park).
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church gave away burial spots to those who made donations to construct this church building. A huge donation came from Juan Camarillo.
Later, the building was sold to Evangelical Free Church in 1980. Peasant Valley Baptist Church moved to a new building, still in Camarillo (corner of Ponderosa & Lantana).
During the Summer time, I see youngsters washing cars to raise money. I WILL wash my car from them next time I see them.

Photography taken on the day of wedding.
This is Camarillo's first fire station. This is Camarillo's landmark and one of handful of remaining Camarillo history. It's currently vacant and located between Diszar Park and St. Mary Magdalen Church.
This is our new and improved fire station at 2160 PIckwick Drive. Next to post office. It was built in 1995.
While I was taking pictures, they happened to be responding to a fire call.
Day 1: Monday May 8, 2006
This ever-famous clock at Old Town Camarillo had not been working for several months. The factory people were supposed to come fix the clock. I think they are finally working on it. I saw this development Monday morning around 8:30am
Day 2: Tuesday May 9, 2006
They put a little fence around the clock. On lunch time, I saw two guys working on the clock with the big glasses off. When I came back with the camera (50 minutes later) those two men were on the ground. (I missed a good shot). What I noticed, was that the clock was about 20 minutes faster. I don't think this job is done.
Day 3: Wednesday May 10, 2006
They fixed the time. Now it's running about 2-3 minutes behind, which is pretty close. But, I hope they would adjust the time even further, so it will be super accurate. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Day 4 & 5 - Thursday / Friday
The clock is still running about 2 minutes behind.
Maybe my watch is fast?
Anyway, they still have the fence around the clock.
Day 15 - May 23, 2006 Tuesday - Job completed.
They have cleared everything around the clock. Clock is running 2-3 minutes late.
I am beginning to wonder if my clock is running faster.
View from 101 freeway - Looking at Camarillo Airport.
Notice the rich, empty land in front.
Camarillo Ranch.
I took this picture when I had a meeting with a wedding photography client.
The second image is the actual wedding picture I took from inside the house.
This is the house where Mr. Adolfo Camarillo used to live. More about Camarillo Ranch
St Mary Magdalen right after 911.
I thought this was very unusual.
Churches don't usually make political statements.
At that time, American flag meant "I hate you, Bin Laden".
It also meant "If you are against us, you can kiss my behind"
