This is what you see only one city block behind Ventura Blvd, Old Town Camarillo.
I wonder if/when they will start developing this place.
This is a good firework viewing spot. On 4th of July, I come here with a pair of Guinness'. I can see number of different fireworks from this spot including Oxnard & Camarillo. About 20 people come to this spot every 4th of July.
I'm not so sure, but people say this is the place where the police fuel their cars.

Don Adolfo Camarillo's statue is located at Dizdar Park in Old Town Camarillo. This sculpture was created by a Mexican artist Guillermo Castaño. The artist's signature is located rear left side of the base, and dated year 2000. The statue was dedicated on Sunday 2pm, October 29, 2000. It was 136th birthday of Adolfo Camarillo.
City of Camarillo purchased the statue from Canterbury International, in Los Angeles. When first created, the pedestal was in gray color. Now it has light brown color.

Did you know that there was a camera on top of the light pole at Old Town Camerillo, Ventura and Arneill?
Today, I went to Starbucks Coffee at Simi Valley Civic Center Plaza to meet a wedding client. I booked the wedding on the spot. Blog entry of their wedding is here.
I took a few shots after the meeting. This is one of the best looking Starbucks Coffees in Ventura County.

Camarillo Arco is my favorite gas station.
It's located at 650 Arneill Rd - Arneill & Ponderosa.
In fact, this is the only gas station I use.
Camarillo Arco gives you the best gas price in Camarillo, perhaps the best in Ventura County.
They are hard working people.
The place looks folksy,
I hope they never remodel the place.
They often play 40's swing music on the loud speaker.
They do NOT open all night, they close around 11pm.
They are always busy.
But, if you schedule it right, you can avoid the line.
You know... avoid rush hours (people coming home from work), and etc...
Remodeling work on Chinese Restaurant and the karate place is now completed.
I wonder if Augusta's will come back to the same building after that construction.
We shall see.
I think Thunderbird Travel will get a makeover pretty soon.
I’ll take some pictures of Thunderbird Travel next time I drive by. (before they get fixed up).

Costco hotdog is well known to be one of the best in the world.
Their pizza is really good also
There were a few occasions where I ate 2 hotdogs in one sitting.
Sometimes I ate 1 hotdog and 1 slice of combination pizza.
I'm 5'7", 150lb, medium frame, so 2 hotdogs are a lot.
I go to Oxnard Costco more often, because it’s close to Camarillo. These photographs were taken at Simi Valley Costco.
This is how I make my hotdog.
First, I put extra amount of onion.
Then I put relish.
Then ketchup.
Then mustard.
Then I get a cup of Diet Coke with a straw & no lid.
All for $1.50.
After finish eating, I top off my diet Coke and I put the lid on.

I like old movies on Turner Classic Movies (TCM).
Anyway, I think Edwards Cinemas 12 is one of Camarillo's lanmarks.
And I plan to go there at least once in the future, so I can take pictures from inside.
This is a beautiful place.
99 Cents only Stores in Ventura County

Some people think it's embarrassing to shop at 99 Cents Only Stores. Some people think 99 Cents Only Stores are only for poor people. Jay Leno makes fun on 99 Cents Only Stores. I don't think that's right. I shop at 99 Cents Only Stores often and I suggest everyone to check it out. You may be missing out on good things.
They definitely have something for me, and I am not poor.
I buy a lot of brand name candies at 99 Cents Only Stores. My shopping list also contains sugar, salt, mustard, coffee filters...
Oh, I use baby shampoos from 99 Cents Only Store. Baby shampoos are pH balanced. If you are older and losing hair, try baby shampoo from 99 Cents Only Store. You may be surprised to see how less hair you will lose.
I don't buy any fruits and vegetables there. Actually, I don't even look at them.
When you visit 99 Cents Only Store, look for brand name items. You will occationally find brand name products such as SPAM, Healthy Choice, Farmer Jones, Hickory Farms, &, etc. That's when you save some big bucks.
