VenturaWeekly.com review
I have visited Fujiya for all you can eat sushi. This time I brought my camera. I wanted to take some pictures of my favorite sushi masters of Camarillo. They made "Over the rainbow" for me. This menu is not included in all-you-can-eat sushi menu. It was a special treat for taking pictures for them. This cut roll sushi was made with fried shrimps, salmon, tuna, and right amount of hot sauce on the side.
I took pictures of the dish. I hope Fujiya will use the image to promote their business.
Oh, "Over the Rainbow" was fantastic. I couldn't finish the last piece because I was absolutely stuffed.
It was raining very hard when I visited Fujiya for documentation. This image was cropped from a file photo. Photographed March 18, 2007.

I come to Fujiya once or twice every month. Kobe and the gang always take care of me. My coworkers and I always go for all-you-can-eat sushi. Three of us even bought Fujiya T-shirts and hair bands so we wear them when we come to Fujiya. We look ridiculous. So, I try not to wear the shirts. And my coworkers would get upset. We spend way too much money here, but we cannot quit coming to Fujiya, the home of all-you-can-eat sushi in Camarillo & Ventura County

Camarillo Wine Country
Bella Victorian Vinyard's Trolly at Gas Station in Camarillo (Feb 2007)
Not a lot of people know this but there are Vineyards and Wineries in Camarillo and Ventura County. These Vineyards & Wineries are well hidden in Camarillo. If they are trying to hide the existence of wineries and vineyards in Camarillo, they are doing a good job. If they want more exposure, they really need to improve their websites.
I am not sure if they are open for walk in customers and wine tasting. Check in with them first before visiting.
Bella Victorian Vineyard is a well known wedding location as well.

Evangelical Free Church is also a wedding spot. They have a small courtyard for formal photography as well (see below).
Church Building History:
The church building was constructed in 1891. At that time it was Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Pleasant Valley Baptist Church used to own Camarillo Cemetery as well (now Dizdar Park).
Building was sold to Evangelical Free Church in 1980. Peasant Valley Baptist Church moved to a new building, still in Camarillo (corner of Ponderosa & Lantana).
During the Summer time, I see youngsters washing cars to raise money. I WILL wash my car from them next time I see them.

Most restaurants close early in Camarillo. If you want to eat out after 9pm, you will quickly realize you don't have much choices in Camarillo. If it's past 10pm-11pm, you must consider Del Taco as a potential candidate.
I'm not saying Del Taco is the last on my list.
I come to Del Taco at Camarillo Town Center regularly.
I always look out for Del Taco Coupons in the mail.

Typically, when I visit Del Taco, I eat Tacos. But their burgers are good also. On my last visit, I spent less than $5.00 and had a good lunch for 2 people.

Jack's Radiator Shop Business Card
Jack's Radiator Shop has been here at Old Town Camarillo since the 60's. Terry, Jack's Son, manages the place now.
Just like Camarillo Plumbing, Jack's Radiator Shop is becoming Camarillo's landmark. This building carries a spirit of Old town Camarillo.
There are many mega sized automobile repair shops in Ventura County. I think Jack's Radiator Shop must have a solid business ethic in order to go steady for over 40 years.
Last year, 2006, I saw a car with a "Jack's Radiator Shop" bumper sticker on. I wanted that bumper sticker. So I visited Jack's Radiator Shop and asked for some stickers. That's when I met Terry for the first time. He told me that stickers ran out many years ago.
Several months later, I visited Terry to say hello. We talked about Camarillo for a while. And I took some pictures of the building.
